Czech President: Turkey is ISIS’ real ally

Czech President Milos Zeman, in a meeting with representatives of civil society during a trip to the Karlovy Vary region, said he believes Turkey is “a real ally” to the terrorist organization of the Islamic State.

“Why are [the Turks] attacking Kurds?” Because they are the true allies of the “Islamic State,” TASS reports Zeman’s response to a question from one of the participants in the meeting.

“This means that Turkey, despite being a member of NATO and wanting to join the European Union, which is unlikely to be accepted, acted as an intermediary in supplying the Islamic State when [that terrorist organization] occupied a large part of Syria and Iraq. This, for example, was the export of oil [from the territory occupied by terrorists] and the like, “said the Czech President

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to Zeman, is following an Islamist policy in his country. “This is no longer the secular state of [Kemal] Atatürk, but a state that proclaims Islamic ideology and from that it logically follows that it is close to the Islamic extremists,” said Zeman

Recall that in early February, a video of the stolen oil on the north of Syria was shot from a MI-17 helicopter.

In May 2016, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said there are reasons to believe that Turkey “has put its hand” in the oil business with terrorists. However, according to the Syrian ambassador to Moscow, the actions of the Russian aviation have made it possible to almost completely cut the supply of Syrian oil to Turkey.
