Ukraine firm SpetsTechnoExport and Turkish firm Aselsan have signed agreements on the purchase of military equipment for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to the website of Ukroboronprom.
“On the second day of the international exhibition IDEF’19 in Istanbul, SE SFTE SpetsTechnoExport, which is part of Ukroboronprom, has signed a number of contracts with Turkey’s company Aselsan on the supply of military equipment for the needs of Ukraine’s Armed Forces and other law enforcement subdivisions. In particular, the Ukrainian side is planning to import cooled thermal imaging cameras for the systems of anti-tank guided missile and receive the next batches of VHF-range radio sets,” the press service reported.
The Turkish state-owned corporation will receive 120-mm “Konus” barrel-guided missiles that will be integrated into the tanks, according to Spetstechnoexport website .
It is noted that as a result of the partial transfer of technology, Ukrainian guided missiles will be produced at Turkish facilities.
It is noted, the signed contracts are the next stage of cooperation with Aselsan. Ukroboronprom has reminded that since 2017, the Turkish company is the main supplier of VHF-range radio systems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and SpetsTechnoExport exports a range of Ukrainian military products for Aselsan.
