Greek Foreign Minister George Katrougalos is paying a two-day visit to Bahrain, where he will meet with his counterpart, Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
Regional developments with emphasis on the Gulf crisis will dominate the meetings, as well as the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean. Katrougalos will have the opportunity to analyse initiatives taken by Greek diplomacy to stabilise the wider region. Issues of mutual bilateral interest will also be discussed, as well as cooperation between the two countries within international organisations.
During the second day of his visit, Greece’s foreign affairs minister will meet with the Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa and the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani. Talks during these meetings will focus on strengthening bilateral economic relations, with emphasis on the sectors of investments, energy, infrastructure, and tourism.
