Mohammad Morsi dies during trial

Ousted Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi died on Monday in court after the conclusion of a trial session in the espionage lawsuit – state television reported. It said Morsi had fainted after a court session and died afterwards.

Mursi was a top figure in the Muslim Brotherhood, and was ousted from power by the military in 2013. He had been serving a seven-year sentence for falsifying his candidacy application for the 2012 presidential race, while also facing several other charges laid upon him later.
