New video chronicles the Syrian Army’s entry into the jihadist heartland (vid)

Syria’s Anna News Agency recently released a new video chronicling the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) entry into the strategic Jabal Al-Zawiya region of southwestern Idlib.

In the video, the Anna News correspondents follow the Syrian Army’s Tiger Forces as they capture the town of Qasabiyah, which is located at the southwestern slope of the Al-Zawiya Mountains.

Following the capture of Qasabiyah, the Syrian Arab Army would seize three more towns along the Idlib-Hama axis, including Hamirat.

The Syrian Army now finds themselves on the defensive, as the jihadist rebels launched a surprise attack on the small town of Jibeen.

Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham has captured the town of Jibeen already and now they are attempting to seize the nearby hilltop of Tal Malah.
