Turkish media provokes and insults: “The Greek Navy kept silent”

Under the headline “Be careful, do not approach”, the Turkish pro-government daily Yeni Safak reports that Greece declared a NAVTEX in the eastern Mediterranean as a reaction to Turkey, but “Athens did not dare to cross the limits drawn by Ankara,” as there are many Turkish warships in the region as part of the Mediterranean Shield operation.

Commenting on the release of two parallel NAVTEXs by both the Greek and Turkish navies for military exercises on the same days and hours between Rhodes and Kastellorizo, the Turkish newspaper reports that the two countries were on the brink of a very hot incident.

“Arm wrestling on the southern border line of the Blue Homeland map brought the two countries to the brink of a hot incident on September 4, but the Greek Navy kept silent,” it said.
