Haftar’s forces destroy more Turkish drones in Libya

A Turkish drone was shot down at Tripoli’s Mitiga airport by the Libyan National Army (LNA) under General Khalifa Haftar. “LNA fighters carried out airstrikes on the Mitiga air base, destroying Turkish drones, warehouses and artillery sites,” the report said.

Last month, Haftar’s forces struck a warehouse with Turkish drones and ammunition near the city of Abu Kamas, west of Libya. Tensions between Ankara and the LNA, which controls the eastern parts of the African country, escalated in late June when Haftar announced the destruction of a Turkish-built drone, which had been taken over by the Government of National Accord (GNA), near in Tripoli.
