Indian Navy loses MiG-29 KUB

The Indian Navy lost a two-seat MiG-29KUB on November 16 after the jet took off from INS Hansa Air Base and had a bird strike.

The aircraft’s left engine flamed out and the right engine was on fire, forcing both pilots to eject. Both the pilots, who are trainees, have ejected safely and a search and rescue operation is on.

A flock of bird caused a MiG 29K fighter jet of the Indian Navy, which was on a training mission, to flameout and crash shortly after taking off in Goa on Saturday, local media reports.
