Russian North Fleet cruiser enters Med

The Russian North Fleet Cruiser Marshal Ustinov, is in the Mediterranean Sea accompanied by the support ship SB-406 and the Vyazma tanker, according to a statement from the North Fleet Press Office.

The cruiser and the two vessels accompanying it passed through the straits of Gibraltar and entered the Mediterranean Sea.

The Russian squadron will perform various exercises. It is also noted that the naval squadron of the North Fleet will conduct a series of exercises in the Mediterranean over a period of two months and visit Algeria, Egypt, Turkey, Greece and Cyprus, reports the Cyprus Agency.
