The Turkish army bombarded Syrian positions Sunday in the northern province of Raqqa in Syria, Al Masdar News reports. According to the website, the Turkish army shelled the army’s positions near the town of Al Faseq, located in the countryside of Ain Issa.
There were several casualties among Syrian soldiers, dead and injured, and two military vehicles were destroyed, as it became known Monday morning. Al Masdar News reports that the reason for the Turkish attack is unknown at this time. Following the bombing of Syrian positions, a battle ensued between the Syrian army and the mercenary jihadists backed by Turkey.
