A video with Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad making fun of Donald Trump during a recent trip by the Russian president to Damascus, is going viral.
In a video of the Russian-1 network of Putin’s surprise trip to Syria on January 7, shows the two leaders discussing the story of Saul’s conversion to Christianity, during Putin’s visit to a Greek Orthodox church. As stated in the Acts of the Apostles in the New Testament, Saul, a persecutor of Christians, was blinded after seeing Jesus in a vision and healed by Ananias at the Gates of Damascus.
“If Trump were to go down this road he will change for the better,” Assad is seen to say in the clip, and the two leaders then laugh. Putin then turns to his host and urges him to call Trump to Damascus. “Call him, he’ll come,” he says. And when Assad answers that he is ready, Putin laughs and adds, “I’ll tell him.”
