Syrian Army looks on Ma’arat Al-Nu’man after large-scale Idlib advance (vid)

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has captured a large amount of territory in eastern Idlib over the last 48 hours, putting their forces within striking distance of Ma’arat Al-Nu’man for the first time since 2014.

Led by the 25th Special Mission Forces Division (formerly Tiger Forces), the Syrian Army has captured several towns at the eastern and northern flank of Ma’arat Al-Nu’man, paving the way for their troops to envelop the key city.

Following the capture Ma’ar Shashah, the Syrian Army filmed from the outskirts of Ma’arat Al-Nu’man to show how close their forces were from the city itself.
